1. Scope of Application
These general terms and conditions of sale apply to all orders placed through the online store on the website www.lacarioca.ch
2. Service
LaCarioca.ch guarantees home delivery of quality products. Customer satisfaction is our top priority, and we aim to provide you with impeccable service. You can contact our customer service at any time via email at . The products are handmade. No requested customization, once paid for, will be taken into account. Any changes or additions will be billed with a supplement according to the requests.
3. Acceptance of Terms
The customer acknowledges having read, at the time of placing the order, the terms and conditions of sale and expressly accepts them without reservation. LaCarioca reserves the right to modify these general terms and conditions of sale at any time and without prior notice, with immediate effect.
4. Warranty
Jewelry:
Gilding defect – guaranteed up to “1 year;
Manufacturing defect – guaranteed up to” 30 days.
Accessories, stationery, decor:
6 months
Items covered by a warranty are subject to the conditions of the offer valid at the time of purchase. The warranty takes effect on the delivery date of the item, as evidenced by the shipping confirmation email which we ask you to keep carefully. Damage due to improper maintenance or failure to follow instructions is not covered.
5. Image Rights
The photographs illustrating the products are not contractually binding; they are merely suggestions for presentation. If errors have been introduced, LaCarioca cannot be held liable under any circumstances. All photo rights are reserved. No reproduction or publication of photographs is authorized without our written permission. 6. Order Procedures
The customer certifies that they are of legal age and have the right and power to order the merchandise. Any online order is considered final once the customer has clicked on the confirmation button. The buyer’s “click” on the order form constitutes an electronic signature which has, between the parties, the same value as a handwritten signature. The information provided by the buyer during the order process is binding: in case of error in the recipient’s details, the seller cannot be held responsible for any inability to deliver the product.
7. Prices
Prices are expressed in Swiss Francs (CHF) in Switzerland (all taxes included), excluding processing and shipping costs. LaCarioca is exempt from VAT. Prices may be modified at any time without prior notice; items will be invoiced based on the rate applicable on the day the order is placed.
8. Accepted Payment Methods and Payment Terms
By credit card:
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex credit cards via Stripe. The payment process is managed by Stripe and is fully secure. All online payments made with a credit card are processed on a secure server. The relevant information (such as credit card number and expiry date) is encrypted during internet transmission and is neither sent nor stored by LaCarioca. The purchase price is debited immediately upon order confirmation.
By bank transfer / advance payment:
The customer agrees to make the transfer of the amount within 7 days following the order placement. The order will be shipped upon receipt of payment according to the delivery terms depending on the available items. No transaction fees are applied.

Shipping costs are indicated at the end of the online order. Shipping fees are automatically calculated at a flat rate based on the delivery location. For deliveries, we use Swiss Post or the provider chosen by the printing company based in Europe. An email is automatically sent to the customer to confirm the order, provided that the email address entered in the registration form is correct. Please check your email’s spam folder if you do not receive an order confirmation email.
The customer can choose the delivery method with or without signature when placing the order. For any order placed without signature and in case of loss by the Post Office, LaCarioca cannot be held responsible and does not guarantee a full refund of your order. However, depending on the case, LaCarioca reserves the right to offer a commercial gesture or none. No refund can be requested if a delivery method without signature is chosen. The customer must verify the completeness and accuracy of the information they provide when registering on the lacarioca.ch website. LaCarioca cannot be held responsible for input errors and the consequences in terms of delay or delivery error.
In case of international shipping, the delivery method is exclusively with signature, and customs duties are the responsibility of the customer. The customer is solely responsible for all necessary steps to import the goods into their territory in accordance with applicable law. They also guarantee that they have previously inquired and ensured that the order does not violate any provisions of the law in force in the country of delivery or residence and that all information provided is accurate.
Under certain conditions, we may need to ask you for an additional shipping fee. In this case, you will be informed by email of the shipping costs. You will then have the option to modify or cancel your order.
Production Times
JEWELRY ACCESSORIES: Orders are generally processed and shipped within 3-5 business days after receipt of payment.
PRINTED ACCESSORIES: Orders are generally processed and shipped within 10-15 business days after receipt of payment.
In case of an out-of-stock situation, LaCarioca informs the customer and promptly refunds any advance payment already made.
These timeframes are effective from the actual receipt of payment. Our delivery obligation is cancelled when we are not correctly or timely supplied despite the existence of a proper and adequate cover transaction and when we are not responsible for the unavailability of goods, we have immediately informed you of this, and we have not assumed any procurement risk. In case of unavailability of goods, we will refund any advance payment already made without delay.
10. Guarantee of Right of Return
The customer has the right to return within 14 days following the arrival of the goods at their home. If the customer is not fully satisfied, they have the option to return the goods in perfect condition in their original packaging within 14 days via an insured and traceable return service following the receipt of the goods. The product can be refunded or replaced with a gift voucher of equivalent value in the form of a promo code to be used for any order on the website www.lacarioca.ch to satisfy the buyer.
For personalized items: Any personalized product is neither exchangeable nor refundable unless it arrives damaged or defective.
In case of return by untracked mail, and lost by the Postal Service, no refund will be made.

11. Responsibilities
LaCarioca cannot be held responsible for damages of any kind, whether material, immaterial, or physical, that may result from the improper use of the products sold. LaCarioca’s liability will be limited to the amount of the order and cannot be invoked for simple errors or omissions that may have persisted despite all precautions taken in the presentation of the products and on their labels. The products offered comply with current Swiss legislation and applicable standards in Switzerland. LaCarioca cannot be held liable for non-compliance with the legislation of the country where the product is delivered. It is the customer’s responsibility to check with local authorities regarding the possibilities of importing or using the products they intend to order. In case of difficulties in the application of this contract, the buyer has the possibility, before any legal action, to seek an amicable solution. Indeed, complaints or disputes will always be given careful consideration, as good faith is always presumed on the part of those who take the trouble to explain their situation. In case of dispute, the customer will primarily contact LaCarioca to obtain an amicable solution. Failing that, the legal forum of Nyon has sole jurisdiction, regardless of the place of delivery.
12. Disputes
These general conditions are subject to Swiss law and particularly to the Code of Obligations, which regulates aspects not expressly mentioned by these general conditions.
